We are proud to announce the staff promotions of Melinda Berkman to Interim Chief Financial Officer, Sonjeya Fitzgerald to Chief Planning & Systems Officer and Kate Houstoun to Chief Impact Officer.
Each leader joins the Executive Team in pushing forward United Way’s mission to end poverty and expand opportunity throughout our nine-county footprint.
As interim Chief Finance Officer, Melinda Berkman will lead United Way's long-term financial health while overseeing campaign processing, accounting, and financial planning.
As Chief Planning & Systems Officer, Sonjeya Fitzgerald will lead the identification and implementation of organization-wide data and technological needs, as well as oversee policies, procedures and technological standard analytic practices to support all facets of our grant-making operations.
As Chief Impact Officer, Kate Houstoun will lead our regional grantmaking strategy and construct multi-sector partnerships across sectors to achieve greater impact. In addition, she will oversee the success of our Mission Delivery team while leveraging the intersecting missions of nonprofits, business, government and philanthropy.
