AFTER THE BELL RINGS

OUT OF SCHOOL TIME PROGRAMS: AFTER THE BELL RINGS

After the bell rings, many kids go on to sports practice, music rehearsals or club meetings. But what about the kids that don’t? Research tells us that it’s these kids who are most at-risk of dropping out.

So we meet them where they are – in their neighborhoods – with activities that they’re already interested in – cars, sports, comics, spoken word.  United Way knows that many of these programs are the lynchpin between our kids and success. Through the Impact Fund, we help to support these programs, and support the staff of these centers through training, tools and resources.
