Staying on Track

STAYING ON TRACK

In this knowledge-based economy, a high-school diploma is no longer optional. In fact, for the next generation, a college degree or post-secondary training will be crucial.

This makes it even more concerning that in our region, nearly 15% of students on average – more than 7,000 kids*—aren’t graduating from high school each year, let alone continuing on to additional education.

Through the Impact Fund, United Way intervenes at the critical points throughout a young person’s education, to ensure that they get on track, stay on track and graduate high school college or career-ready.  By connecting with students during the school day, after school and through caring mentoring relationships, we’re helping kids realize their dreams…and achieve them.
