One last hurrah before the kids return to school is upon us!

Family Fun Day at Gillian’s Wonderland Pier is set for Monday, August 29, and from 1-4:00 p.m., family members can enjoy unlimited rides for just $25 per wristband. Proceeds from the day will benefit Success By 6, United Way’s early childhood development initiative. Programs in Atlantic and Cape May Counties include Raising A Reader, Ready, Set, READ! and First Book, which are supported by the Women’s Leadership Initiative, focus on ensuring children have access to quality age-appropriate books and communicates ways caregivers can provide consistent, shared reading time.

Additionally, for preschoolers preparing for kindergarten, Success by 6 distributes an annual “Kindergarten Readiness Calendar” offering 365 fun and engaging ways to help these youngsters enter the classroom ready to learn.

United Way’s Family Fun Day at Gillian’s not only promises the opportunity to make lasting memories with your kids or other family members, but you’ll have the satisfaction of knowing that your day at the amusement park provided other children in our region with resources to attain a quality education from cradle to career.

Wristbands can be purchased on August 29 at any ticket booth or the customer service office at Gillian’s. They are not available in advance.
