Students and Eagles players wave rally towels

For more than 40 years, the NFL and United Way have partnered to strengthen communities across America. The Philadelphia Eagles continue that tradition locally by teaming up with United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey to bring Character Playbook and Hometown Huddle to local students.

On October 10, United Way, the Eagles and Everfi will launch Character Playbook at the William Dick School. Character Playbook is a new online course focused on helping students develop character and engage in healthy relationships. By educating students on why character education and positive relationships matter during middle school, Character Playbook helps tough tackle these tough years by teaching them how to cultivate and maintain healthy relationships.

For 17 years, United Way and the NFL have brought to life Hometown Huddle, a league-wide day to celebrate youth health and wellness.

In Philadelphia, United Way and the Eagles are partnering to keep local students safe and off the streets by supporting After School Activities Partnership, a nonprofit that develops high quality after school activities and resources to empower youth and strengthen communities in Philadelphia.
